We were graced by the presence of many Catholic nuns, a Catholic priest, and wonderful gifts from Austin, TX,  Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, Omaha, NE, and Springfield, MO.  In addition there were many from the Sunflower Sangha represented.  Brother Chan Huy gave compassionate dharma talks on how to cultivate peace in our daily lives within ourselves and with each other seeing beyond our differences.  We continue to practice every other Saturday at 4-6PM at the Wichita Wat Temple at 5327 N. Broadway (next gathering is this Sat. 11/18).  We also invite anyone to join us for weekly meditation every Wed. night 6:30-8:30PM at 727 N. Waco.  Blessings to all and an armload of sunflowers to you. We meet every other Saturday from 4-6PM at the Wat Wichita Temple 5327 N. Broadway in Wichita, Kansas.  We practice meditation, have discussions and share our practice with others who wish to deepen their practice of mindfulness and to experience more peace and compassion in their lives.  Our next meeting will be Saturday, April 29th. Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk who has written over 100 books and has established monasteries and practice centers in France and the United States. We are very pleased that ordained dharma teacher Chan Huy, True Radiance, from Ottawa, Canada will be providing the dharma talks.  We are offering this retreat to deepen the practice of mindfulness and to further develop our compassion for others, for our precious earth, and for ourselves.  It will be an opportunity to practice bringing peace to ourselves and to those around us through meditation practice and other ways to calm ourselves and bring joy to our bodies and minds. Vegetarian meals and comfortable lodging will be provided in the peaceful atmosphere of the Spiritual Life Center.  Cost per person for a 2-person room will be $135.  Check-in will be Friday anytime after 4PM and the retreat will conclude Sunday after lunch.
